It is estimated that One in Five people have a
pituitary adenoma (tumor).
Clearly, Tanya suffers from an extreme and unusual
case of Acromegaly. Because of that fact, the majority of media simply covers
Tanya's story in a sensationalistic, 'headline news' worthy manner. Yet, this is
not entirely consistent with the specific work that Tanya is trying to do...she
simply wants to get the word out for people to learn about the signs and
symptoms of Acromegaly and other Pituitary Tumors, so they can get diagnosed
earlier and not have to suffer her same path.
The lovely people in the photos below have all been
diagnosed with Acromegaly at differing ages. They want you to see their faces
because they share the same heart as Tanya. They want to share in educating the
public about the signs and symptoms of Acromegaly.
